June 28-30, 2024 ~ The annual Five Star Dealership's Sand and Sawdust Festival was held over the last weekend in June.  The weather was pleasant with some sun but mostly cloudy and some late rain.  There were many people in town.  On the Beach, there were sandcastle builders, horse rides, kite flying, and people playing in the waves.

The crisp cedar smells permeated the air at the Woodcarving Competitions in front of the Convention Center, which always produces many pieces of art.  Master Chainsaw Carvers from around the Northwest compete for prizes.  The Awards Ceremony and Auction were held on Sunday.  You will have to wait until next year to have a chance to take home a piece of original art!

Additional activities inside and outside the Convention Center included Food and Craft Vendors.
